so, some of us might not hace watched the Glee episode on Starhub. and for the first time this 9 of June, they are gonna show on channel 5 Glee!

Glee is an American musical comedy-drama television series that airs on Fox in the United States. It focuses on a high school show choir called “New Directions”, at the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio, and although largely realistic, also employs fantasy elements.

3 new High Court judges

Dr Philip Pillai, 62, was sworn in at a ceremony at the Istana before Mr J Y Pillay, Chairman of the Council of Presidential Advisers, on behalf of President Nathan who is away from May 28th to June 8th.

THREE new High Court judges were appointed on Tuesday by President S R Nathan.

All three – Dr Philip Pillai, 62, Mr Quentin Loh, 59, and Mr Steven Chong, 52 – have been serving as Judicial Commissioners in the High Court since last year.

They were sworn in at a ceremony at the Istana before Mr J Y Pillay, Chairman of the Council of Presidential Advisers, on behalf of President Nathan who is away from May 28th to June 8th. All three were graduates of the National University of Singapore.

Dr Pillai joined the Law Faculty as lecturer after graduating with First Class Honours in 1971 and went on to become its Vice Dean in 1982. During his years with the faculty, he also attended Harvard Law School where he obtained a Master and Doctor’s in Law in 1973 and 1982.

Church members probed

Police rounded up several individuals linked to the church for alleged misuse of church funds.

A DAY after City Harvest Church completed a massive five-day seminar involving 30,000 people, foreign evangelists among them, police rounded up several individuals linked to the church for alleged misuse of church funds.

The 17 people who are assisting police with investigations include the megachurch’s founder, Senior Pastor Kong Hee, who was picked up early yesterday morning.

Police also took away financial records and computers from the homes and offices of the people involved. They did not say what offences they were investigating.

A joint statement from the Commissioner of Charities (COC) and the Commercial Affairs Department said they were investigating ‘several individuals and companies, related or connected’ to the church.

Youth Olympic 2010

The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) are planned to be an international multi-sport event held every four years. The Youth Olympic Games will feature athletes between the ages of 14 and 18. $11million. Singapore was declared host of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games 2010 via live telecast from Lausanne, Switzerland, winning by a tally of 53 votes to 44 for Moscow. Singapore is contesting all 26 sports.

Estimated costs are currently $30 million for the summer and $15 million-$20 million for winter games, primarily on infrastructure and lodging. The IOC will pay travel costs to the host city and room and board for the athletes and judges, estimated costs at $11 millon.
